Connection Without Overwhelm
Networking for the Neurodivergent
For many neurodivergent people, the word networking conjures dread.
Crowded rooms. Rapid small talk. Forced smiles. The expectation to perform, pitch, or “sell yourself” in ways that feel inauthentic—or downright exhausting.
While professional connection is often presented as essential to career growth, the conventional ways it happens are frequently inaccessible, draining, or unappealing for those who are autistic, ADHD, introverted, or otherwise neurodivergent.
But connection doesn’t have to be overwhelming. And networking doesn’t have to mean pretending to be someone you’re not.
This post is for anyone who’s ever felt like networking was a chore, not a choice. Let’s reframe it as something softer, slower, and kinder. Let’s build connection on your terms.
