Inclusion is not a one-off initiative or a checkbox on a diversity report. It’s the everyday actions, conversations, and choices we make that truly define whether people feel welcome, safe, and valued at work. Yet for many leaders and teams, the idea of “creating an inclusive workplace” can feel vast and daunting—something that belongs to HR departments, equity consultants, or training days.

But here’s the truth: inclusion begins with us. It begins with the tone we set in meetings, the way we listen, the questions we ask, and the spaces we make (or don’t make) for others to contribute.

And the best news? Small steps can lead to transformational change.
